About Us

The Lismore choir is a friendly mixed choir of all ages about 35 strong. We usually present two major concerts a year; our Christmas celebration at Lismore Castle every December and a Spring concert often in Lismore Cathedral, as well as performing at various community functions locally.

The choir also occasionally joins with other choirs for performance; and it has enjoyed entertaining choirs from abroad and then travelling to return the visit. The choir also participates in choral festivals. Read on …

We are recruiting new members

Our SATB choir with John Casey as our director, are actively recruiting for new members.We are a mixed aged friendly group who meet every Wednesday from 7:45 pm to 10 pm (with a social tea/coffee break), starting in September to the end of May/June.

Rehearsals

Our rehearsals are starting again on Wednesday 11th in St Patrick’s Hall in Tallow @ 7.45pm

Fermoy Christmas Market

The choir performed at the Fermoy Christmas Market on Saturday 3rd of December. It was cold, but a good rehearsal for our own concerts on 10, 11 and 12 December. See above.
